Frequently Asked Questions
Getting Started
-
What is Chatmosa?
Chatmosa is an all-in-one, browser-based creator platform for podcasting, livestreaming, and real-time community building. Instead of stitching together separate tools for recording, hosting, distribution, chat, posts, and monetization, creators can do it all in one place.
-
How does it make podcasting effortless?Creators can:
- Record audio or video with one click
- Host episodes instantly
- Distribute to Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, Amazon, iHeartRadio, Pandora, Substack, and more
- Manage their entire show without technical overhead
It's built for people who want to start a podcast without feeling overwhelmed.
-
Can I use Chatmosa without downloading recording software?
Yes. Chatmosa is browser-based, so you can record, host, and manage your show without downloading separate podcast software or plugins. It works on Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge.
-
What equipment do I need to get started?
All you need is a computer or phone with a modern web browser, an internet connection, and a microphone — even your built-in laptop or phone mic works to start. A camera is optional if you want to record video. No special equipment, no plugins, no extensions.
-
Who is Chatmosa for?
Chatmosa is designed for first-time podcasters and beginners with no technical background, content creators and influencers building paid communities, nonprofits and civic organizations amplifying voices, small businesses running live events or workshops, and educators hosting recurring sessions.
Recording & Publishing
-
Do I have to record my podcast live, or can I record it privately and publish it later?
You do not have to go live! Chatmosa allows you to record completely privately. This means you can take your time, make mistakes without any pressure, and use our built-in Media Editor to trim up the audio or video. You only hit "publish" when you are 100% happy and ready for the world to hear it. It is entirely up to you when (or if) you want to introduce a live audience.
-
What if I already recorded and edited my episode on another software? Can I just upload it here?
Absolutely. If you prefer to record and edit your podcast offline using other tools, you can simply upload your finished file directly into Chatmosa's Media Editor. You don't have to use any of the live studio or interactive features if you don't want to. You can use Chatmosa strictly as your podcast host to easily distribute your finished episodes to Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and everywhere else.
-
How do I invite guests to my recording session?
Simply share your session link with your guest. They can join directly from their browser — no Chatmosa account required, no software to download. Just click and connect.
-
Can I edit my recordings on Chatmosa?
Yes. Chatmosa includes a built-in Media Editor where you can trim, cut, and polish your recordings without leaving the platform. There's also a Video Clipper to create short, social-ready clips from any recording — perfect for promoting your episodes on TikTok, Instagram, and X.
-
Is Chatmosa easier than Riverside?
Yes. Riverside is primarily focused on high-quality recording, while Chatmosa combines browser-based recording, podcast hosting, distribution, livestreaming, community chat, mailing lists, AI recaps, clipping, and monetization in one platform
Distribution
-
Where does Chatmosa distribute my podcast?
With one click, your episode is published and distributed to Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, Amazon Music, iHeartRadio, Pandora, and Substack. Chatmosa automatically generates your RSS feed — no manual configuration required.
-
Do I need to set up an RSS feed manually?
No. Chatmosa generates and manages your RSS feed automatically when you publish your first episode. You just click publish, and the feed is created and kept up to date as you release new episodes.
-
Can I use Chatmosa only for hosting and distribution without using the recording features?
Yes. Many creators record and edit with other tools and use Chatmosa strictly as their podcast host. Upload your finished file, add your episode details, and Chatmosa distributes it everywhere for you.
